Print That Persuades (In-depth)

While there is much emphasis placed on digital platforms today, one should not overlook the overwhelming amounts of sales communications which remain in paper and ink formats. Print remains the most trusted platform for any organisation. However, the sheer amount of sales literature means companies have to be sure that copy and design work hand in hand to persuade and initiate action. How can your sales brochures be more effective? Through this two-day course, you will learn an appreciation of design and simple ways to improve your current productions.

Course content

Using elements of design to capture attention; grid formats to give consistency; working with photography; selecting and cropping photographs; creating powerful headlines; writing persuasive copy for brochures; using typography to enhance design; practical exercises in design and writing; how to work with designers and printers; developing a critical eye.

Allein Moore was trained in the UK and attended the famous London College of Printing and Design. He won a number of awards as a designer and art director before developing his talents as a copywriter. He came to Singapore in 1979 as a Creative Director and worked for a number of international ad agencies gaining more honours. He was the founder President of the Designers Association of Singapore as well as the Chairman of the Creative Circle for four years. He was the visiting professor of branding at SE University, Bangladesh and sits on the advisory board of the Nanyang Polytechnic Design School.
